Received his Ph.D. from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa, in 2011. After earning his BA in anthropology from Florida Atlantic University, Ryan relocated to South Africa where he worked in the field of Palaeoanthropology for a number of years. He has received several grants from Paleo-Anthropological Scientific Trust, and is a recipient of Postgraduate Merit Award and Postgraduate Merit Scholarship from the University of the Witwatersrand. Ryan has returned to South Florida and has worked for AHC since 2006. His research interests include taphonomy and physical anthropology with a primary focus on palaeopathology.
