Florida’s archaeological and historic sites are being diminished and destroyed every day by development, unlawful collecting, and climate change. We document and help preserve and protect significant sites so they can be studied and appreciated by future generations.
We encourage and promote the preservation, protection, restoration, maintenance, and interpretation of archaeological and historic sites.
We were founded by a group of professional and avocational archaeologists concerned about Florida’s dwindling cultural resources. We incorporated as a Florida not-for-profit organization on December 28, 1979.
There are many ways to support archaeological and historical preservation. Explore opportunities to get involved with Archaeological and Historical Conservancy through volunteering or employment.
